Post doc in Inorganic Chemistry
formally based at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Duties
We are looking for a post doc to initiate synthesis and characterization of volatile complexes of the group 13 metals (aluminum, gallium and indium) for use a precursors in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) of group 13 nitrides (AlN, GaN, InN and their alloys). The post doc will get the responsibility for the start-up of the synthesis activity, including preparing a suitable synthesis laboratory. The post doc is further expected to actively participate in thin film synthesis by CVD and ALD where the metal complexes will be used and to supervise graduate students.    

A Post doc will essentially carry out research. The position may also involve teaching, but during no more than a fifth of work time.

Qualifications
We are looking for a chemist with a PhD in chemistry with focus on synthetic chemistry. Experience of synthesis in air-, moisture- and oxygen free environment with Schlenk techniques is a demand. Experience of synthesis of metalorganic compounds is considered a merit. Also experience of CVD, ALD and other thin film techniques is considered a merit. 

The position requires a doctorate or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. The doctorate shall have been obtained no longer than three years before the expiration date of the application.

Appointment time
Two years. The appointment can be renewed if there are special reasons.

Starting date 
As soon as possible or by agreement.

Salary
The University applies individual salary scales adapted to the experience of the employee and to the labour market.
