Post Doc - Nanoparticles

SP Chemistry, Materials and Surfaces (SP KM) seeks a highly qualified candidate for a postdoctoral position for a research project funded by EU. The NanoMag project brings together Europe’s and internationally leading experts in: manufacturing of magnetic single-core and multi-cor e nanoparticles, characterization of magnetic nanostructures and national metrology institutes.


SP's role is to synthesize and characterize magnetic nanoparticles with specific surface modification to be analysed by other partners.
The post-doctoral fellowship will be running for at least 12 months and will be placed at SP KM in Stockholm at the section “Materials and Surface Technology". The recruitment process will be finalized as soon as possible.


Requirements
Qualified candidates must have received a PhD degree in one of the following:
• Material Science
• Chemistry:
   o Inorganic
   o Physical
   o Surface

It is a requirement to have experience in the field of nanoparticles/nanomaterial synthesis and/or surface modification. Previous experience in the field of magnetic nanoparticles is an advantage.
 
Other qualifications
We are looking for an independent researcher who is energetic, innovative and good at building relations. Previous experience in project management is an advantage. Due to the nature of the position, the candidate is required to possess excellent communicative skills (both written and oral). Furthermore, a genuine interest for industrial applications and customer contacts is desirable.
