Reference number 315-485-09 Post-doc position in Chemistry for next generation process chemometrics in pharmaceutical industry This project will develop a new generation of chemometrics for pharmaceutical products in collaboration with AstraZeneca R&D.In the pharmaceutical industry there is a large need for development of tools to better understand the properties and the interrelations between raw materials, process parameters and the final quality of the product.Most of these interrelations are multivariate. For more information see: http://www.jobb.umu.se The post-doc candidate needs to be skilled in both oral and written communication in English, be able to work independently as well as in collaboration with others.The candidate also needs to have a genuine interest, not necessarily documented knowledge, in working with computers and programming, e.g.in Matlab or R. Practical experience in process chemometrics, computer programming, analytical chemistry and pharmaceutical formulation are merits.The application should contain a CV, including academic grades, and a list of publications, two personal references along with a personal letter of one A4 sheet describing yourself and why you apply for this position.To qualify for the position you should have a PhD degree or equivalent, preferably not more than three years old.
