The Department of Economics, SLU, Uppsala has units for research and teaching in Business administration, Economics, and Agrarian History.The Business administration Unit specialises in production economics, farm management, entrepreneurships, marketing and co-operative theory.www.slu.se Land use and bioenergy production We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to strengthen our team working with production economic analysis.The successful candidate will conduct research on farm level land use policies with a particular focus on the coordination of bioenergy production with other types of farm production.It is expected that the incumbent candidate will develop an innovative research program combining empirical applications and recent developments in economic theory.The position is for two years.Qualifications: The applicant should be highly motivated and have a PhD degree in economics (or equivalent).Experience in work on applied economic analysis using mathematical risk programming methods and dynamic optimisation is a merit but not a prerequisite.Highly effective writing and oral communication skills in English are required.Documents that should be included in the application: CV, Publication list, PhD diploma, copies of no more than five publications.A short description (2-4 pages) of previous research, current research interests and other activities of relevance for the position.Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of two referees.All application documents should be written in English.The position is for two years, starting September 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter.
