The School of Business and Economics is one of the largest business schools in Sweden with close to 4000 students. The School of Business and Economics has research groups in different areas of Business Administration and Economics. The Post-Doctoral researcher is a full time position within The Bridge research program aiming at connecting everyday life at home and sustainable production conditions. The Life at Home research initiative has support by a generous donation from IKEA.
Technological solutions and forms of innovation linking directly to homes and everyday living have become common in markets. The foundation of market innovation has over the last decade shifted from traditional business research and development units and laboratories to everyday lives of consumers and social entrepreneurship of citizens. Immaterial resources like brands and branding practices, knowledge management, digital platforms and novel forms of organising production form an increasingly important part of the value of products and services in the post-industrial market place. Productive practices of consumers, organisations and corporation with soft innovation, novel communication and organisation solutions, and entrepreneurial venturing are in the centre of the Life at Home research initiative.
The position is for one year full time with the possibility of an extension for a further year. The employment can start immediately.
Job description
The Post-Doctoral position is part of Bridge-program that is connecting business studies, design and engineering based at Linnaeus University. The post-doctoral researcher is expected to conduct research on the theme of innovation and life at home in collaboration with a professor-led researcher team, actively contribute to building a research environment in campus Växjö through participating in education development on Master’s and Doctoral levels, and develop research environment through workshops, conferences and academic interaction. Up to 20% of the post’s duties can be teaching within the department. The successful candidate would have a keen interest towards cross-disciplinary research theme and team.
Selection criteria
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in business studies or similar. He/she is expected to show a documented active publication program, interest towards cross-disciplinary research, and day-to-day contribution to developing a research environment.
Experience in developing research projects and active participation in international research community are strongly appreciated.The candidate is expected to show an excellent command of English language.
