The School of Business and Economics, one of Linnaeus University´s five faculties, offers several business administration and economics programs at both bachelor´s master´s and PhD level. We offer programs, as well as single-subject course, within a number of different fields like management control, leadership, entrepreneurship and tourism. The school has a campus in both Kalmar and Växjö, and is web-based.
The School of Business and Economics hosts the subject area tourism studies. In order to strengthen and expand research and education in the subject we are now looking for a postdoc on a limited contract.

Subject area description
The job consists foremost of conducting research related to entrepreneurship and sustainable business model development in cultural and creative tourism. Methodological experience in qualitative, participatory and action-research methods is desirable. The ability to interact with project partners in Swedish is required.
Context of position
This position is a fulltime position for two years as a Postdoc researcher as part of the tourism research group at the School of Business and Economics. The candidate is expected to co-develop and conduct on- as well as off-site research as part of a funded project and to communicate the research results verbally and in writing. The candidate will participate in project meetings, assume coordination duties as well as prepare and submit scientific publications.
Research is carried out together with researchers in the tourism research group at the School of Business and Economics and embedded in the multidisciplinary InKuiS (Innovative cultural entrepreneurship in collaborative research) project consortia. The five-year project is funded by the Kamprad Family Foundation and involves researchers at the Linnaeus University faculties of Arts and Humanities, of Technology, the School of Business and economics, and some 70 actors from the cultural sector and visitor economy in Småland. The tourism research group and this position is part of the new aspiring LNU Knowledge environment in Sustainable Tourism (KEST).
The position consists of 80% research duties and 20% teaching responsibilities at undergraduate and/or master levels and/or administrative tasks at the School of Business and Economics.
Requirements
You should have successfully completed a doctoral degree by the application deadline to qualify for a position as postdoctoral researcher at the Linnaeus University. The doctoral thesis shall be in tourism studies, business studies or related field and with focus on a relevant area according to the specific position stated in the advertisement.
Since a position as postdoc aims to give new holders of the doctorate the opportunity to strengthen and develop their scholarly proficiency, we aim for those who have a doctoral degree not older than 3 years counting from last date of application.
Applicants must not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral researcher for more than one year in the same or related subject area at Linnaeus University.
Assessment
The assessment takes note of knowledge in quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques, experience of teaching and supervision at postgraduate levels, and published research in leading scientific journals. Additional merits for this position are documented proficient use of qualitative methods, published qualitative research in scientific journals, and experience of leading workshops in and outside of the university.
