Project:
The Department of Wildlife, Fish, and Environmental Studies, SLU, Umeå, is looking for a postdoc in the area of behavioural ecology and mating systems evolution, with a focus on fishes. The postdoc will develop research exploring fundamental questions, using a combination of field- and lab-based research approaches. The postdoc will use both wild fish from northern aquatic ecosystems as well as model lab organisms as study systems.

Duties:
The postdoc will conduct large-scale field and laboratory experiments addressing fundamental questions in the evolution of sociality and mating systems. The postdoc will also collaborate on projects within the larger Aquatic Ecology research group, lending their expertise to applied projects focusing on species invasions and fish behavioural responses to environmental pollutants.
