Postdoc in environmental economics

Department of Economics
At the Department of Economics, research and teaching are conducted in the subjects economics and business studies. The department has master's and bachelor programs in economics, and a PhD program. Priority areas in economics are 1) environment and natural resources  and 2) agricultural economics. 
Duties:
The environmental economics group within the department of economics - see https://www.slu.se/env-econ - is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to boost our research team. The successful applicant will be expected to develop their own research in the analysis, evaluation, and design of policies to address environmental problems, especially climate change. Cooperation with other environmental economists in the Uppsala–Stockholm region is also encouraged. The position as a postdoctoral researcher implies at least 80% research. 

Qualifications:
Successful applicants must have completed a PhD in economics. Preference will be given to candidates who have been awarded the degree no more than three years before the application deadline. Candidates must have broad competence in economics— micro, macro, and econometrics—and particular expertise in theoretical modelling and game theoretic approaches to international environmental problems. They should have published in leading outlets such as Nature Climate Change or Environmental and Resource Economics. Good ability in English is essential.

In assessing the applications for the position, particular emphasis will be placed on (1) applicants' scientific proficiency in economics, and (2) their ability to develop their own line of research in environmental and natural resource economics, complementing the ongoing research within the group. We will also place emphasis on the applicant's personal characteristics and suitability. Applicants' ability to work constructively in a small group is very important.
