This position provides an opportunity to contribute knowledge of practical relevance for Agenda 2030 and sustainability transitions. It offers conditions to work in a transdisciplinary constellation and directly contribute to and learn from already ongoing processes.
Information about the research group
The research group within Physical Resource Theory in which this postdoc will be located is called "Navigating Sustainability Transitions". The group conducts research in inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration on how complex sustainability transitions can be guided in practice with an emphasis on backcasting and societal labs. The group has co-founded and built up Chalmers Initiative for Innovation and Sustainability Transitions and their own testbed Challenge Lab.
Major responsibilities
Your major responsibility as postdoc is to contribute to transdisciplinary research processes with an interest in understanding conditions and processes for practical engagement with complex sustainability challenges in various contexts, with emphasis on backcasting and learning.
Position summary
Full-time temporary employment. The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must have a PhD in sustainability transitions, transdisciplinarity, sustainability science or education and learning for sustainable development. The degree should generally not be older than three years. You should also have experience of qualitative research methods, sustainability transition methodologies and process-based evaluation.
