Information about the research and the project
This post doc position is is part of the development of a new research track related to digital health. The division of Signal Processing and Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology, is recruiting a qualified candidate for a post doc position.

The project consists in investigating digital health, care pathways and their integation to the data and newest technologies e.g. including but not limited to the area of stroke triage, diagnostics, prevention, rehabilitation and emergency care. The scientific research is expected to contribute to the research related to the data intensive digital health and preventive & personalized healthcare in interdiciplinary research environment as well as company and hospital ecosystems. You are therefore expected to communicate with companies,  clinical experts and patients.

In this role you will join a research group that provides a stimulating, pleasant and flexible work environment for developing research and teaching, and you will participate supervising PhD students. The work of post doc will contribute to the development and coordination of international projects of high quality, such as projects on the Horizon Europe, ITEA, and Swedish national projects. The research work is focused on digital health (e.g. web/mobile based interventions/innovations and tele rehabilitation related but limited to neurology and other lifestyle diseases and their prevention).

Major responsibilities
Your major responsibilities as post doc is to pursue your own research in the area of digital health. You are expected to collaborate with ecosystems of interdiciplinary research networks, companies, clincial specialists and patients in order to develop your own scientific concepts and communicate the results of your research verbally and in writing, both in English (and Swedish). You must contribute to the applying research funding and project coordination

Position summary
Full-time temporary employment. The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).

Qualifications
To qualify as a post doctoral researcher, you must have a PhD degree in a relevant field: the degree should generally not be older than three years. You are expected to be somewhat accustomed to teaching, and to demonstrate good potential within research and education.The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in English. If Swedish is not your native language, you are encouraged to learn it during your employement. Chalmers offers Swedish courses.
