PostDoc Positions - Precise Genome Editing (PGE)

Arbetsbeskrivning

At AstraZeneca, innovation is more than just research. As one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, we?re focused on providing medicines that make a real difference in patient care. That?s why we've invested in a new research centre and corporate headquarters at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (UK), and in our state-of-the art research facility at Gothenberg, Sweden.

Our research centres are a place where you can help us continue to lead the industry in research and development. A place with an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture, where you'll feel valued, energised and rewarded for your ideas and contributions. A place where talented people can immerse themselves in their work and make significant contributions towards scientific excellence.

We are seeking POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS at our Cambridge/UK and Gothenberg/Sweden sites to work in the novel and exciting field of precise genome editing (PGE). The successful applicants will be embedded in the Discovery Sciences Department and will join a vibrant community of PostDoctoral Fellows that is already established on both sites in our PGE teams.

Our aim is to develop new tools for the identification and validation of novel drug targets and to contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies. The successful candidates will join our PGE global teams and have the opportunity to work and interact with our global AZ PGE community and a significant number of high profile external collaborators (Sanger Institute, Harvard, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCSF, University of Munich, others). These three year positions will provide opportunities for publication, patent applications and conference presentations. We are looking for applicants with enthusiasm, a passion for science, good attention to detail and a desire to create new medicines for patients.
