The Urban Mobility Systems research group at Chalmers University of Technology now has an open post doc position, that will give you the opportunity to work with leading researchers in the area;

Information about the research
Urban Mobility Systems research group is a research group within the Division of Geotechnics and Geology, Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The group is focused on improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our future urban mobility systems, from an infrastructure centred perspective. This project will also be carried out in collaboration with electrical engineering department and the department of mechanics and maritime sciences.

Major responsibilities
- Develop charging infrastructure planning model considering the nexus among charging infrastructure, grid, and transport infrastructure
- Develop public transit network design model
- Simulations and demonstrations

For all postdocs at Chalmers:
Your major responsibility as postdoc is to perform your own research in a research group. The position also includes teaching on undergraduate and master's levels as well as supervising master's and/or PhD students to a certain extent. Another important aspect involves collaboration within academia and with society at large. The position is meritorious for future research duties within academia as well as industry/the public sector.

Contract terms
Full-time temporary employment. The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, we would like you to have a doctoral degree in engineering; the degree should generally not be older than three years. You also need to have strong oral and written skills in English, programming skills of Python, and traffic simulation packages. Master's and Bachelor's degrees in engineering are meritorious as well as experience in video making.

You are expected to be somewhat accustomed to teaching, and to demonstrate good potential within research and education.
