Engage in shaping the future!
Chalmers builds up a new center on 2D materials and seeks ten postdoctoral researchers and two PhD students!
Right now, Chalmers University of Technology is looking for excellent postdoctoral researchers and PhD students worldwide for a new Vinnova competence center “2D material-based technology for industrial applications (2D-TECH)”. You will be a part of an excellent and innovative environment consisting of leading scientists in different fields of 2D material research and high-tech companies including key players in automotive and aerospace industries as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. You will work in an international and interdisciplinary environment as a full-time employee with an attractive salary.
The goal of 2D-TECH is to develop an internationally competitive Swedish hub for excellent research and industrial utilization of 2D materials. We will pave the way toward novel 2D material-based products across the whole value chain. We address a wide range of industrial challenges and our activities span from multi-functional composites, sustainable energy, electronics and emerging materials. Target applications include e.g. new generation of highly efficient heat spreaders for electronics, lightweight structural batteries, transparent antennas, as well as more efficient radars and sensors for the automotive and aerospace industries. To reach the goals, 2D-TECH will establish close, long-term, and multidisciplinary collaboration between academia and industry facilitating the transfer of knowledge and driving 2D material innovations.
2D-TECH offers a stimulating and creative workplace in a modern setting with state-of-the-art research facilities. We strive to combine world leading research with a good work-life balance including paid vacation, parental leave and other attractive employment benefits. We actively promote diversity and gender equality.
