Postdoctoral fellow


The position is fulltime and is available for 2 years from January 1st 2010 according to "Avtal om tidsbegränsad anställning som postdoktor".

The group is located within the Department of Rheumatology and Inflammation Research at the University of Gothenburg.The postdoctoral project is focused on the interplay between herpes viruses and the infected host and aim at identifying factors that determines disease outcomes following infection as well as the impact of infection in the functionality of the immune system.The work is performed both in infected human subjects and in animal models of disease, and involves genetic, molecular and cellular approaches.

Requirements:

PhD obtained within three years from last application date.A proven track record is required with publications within peer reviewed international journals and good technical skills.The applicant should have extensive experience in immunological and molecular biology techniques and experience of working with both human cell cultures and with animal models of disease.
