The laboratory of Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden (MIMS) was recently established within the Umeå Centre for Microbial Research UCMR, www.ucmr.se at Umeå University.MIMS places its emphasis on the field of molecular infection medicine as the Swedish node in the Nordic partnership for Molecular Medicine that is formed together with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the new Nordic nodes for molecular medicine in Finland and Norway.The establishment of MIMS has major support from the Swedish Research Council www.vr.se, Umeå University and is also closely connected to the university hospital (Norrlands University Hospital).The research environment provides modern technology platforms to perform approaches combining genetic, chemical, biochemical and microscopic analyses.MIMS affiliated group leaders are now recruiting a number of postdoctoral fellows and hereby advertise two-year fellowships in different research projects that are described below.These fellowships have been made possible by generous contributions from The Kempe Foundations at Umeå University.The positions are available from 2009 for a period of 2 years .The successful candidate will be able to access the EMBL network www.embl.org providing interaction with researchers from different fields and a variety of courses and seminars.To qualify for the postdoc position, the applicant should have a PhD degree which is not older than 3 years.Those interested should mail or e-mail a single pdf file containing a CV, a list of publications, a statement of research interest, and names of three referees with contact information.Your application should be marked with the appropriate Ref no for the postdoc position.If you apply to several fellowships you have to send an application for each position.Documents sent electronically should be in MS Word or PDF format.The procedure for recruitment for the position is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance (chapt.12, 2 ) and the decision regarding the position cannot be appealed.Applications will be discarded or, if the applicant so wishes, returned two years after the position has been filled.See complete ad at www.jobb.umu.se We look forward receiving your application!
