The primary responsibility of the position will be to develop novel routes and compositions to produce nanocellulose-based flame-resistant foams and composites. The work also involve characterization using e.g. scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, porosity measurements, rheology, light scattering and electrophoretic mobility, and various devices to determine mainly the flame retardancy, mechanical strength and thermal properties.
We are seeking a strongly motivated and innovative candidate who has successfully completed a Ph.D. study in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline. Proven experience in biopolymer processing and materials characterization is essential. Strong skills in innovative materials processing is desirable. The successful candidate will join a vibrant multidisciplinary team of students and post?docs and should therefore be a good team player.
