reference number 223-3233-09 Postdoctoral fellowship (2 years) in the area of Ionic Liquids for Biorefining and Catalysis (BilCat) We now seek into our group a postdoctoral researcher who is interested to take part in the development of Sustainable Chemical Processes for the future, with the focus on bio-based fuels and chemicals as well as process concepts within the biorefineriers.The project is expected to contribute significantly to the development of novel green materials, NextGen fuels as well as sustainable chemicals for the future chemical industry moving towards greener industrial processes.Applicants should posses a doctoral degree (Dr.Sc.or equivalent), preferably not more than three years old, within chemical engineering, chemical technology, chemistry or alike and possess a deep understanding within the fields of ionic liquids, chemical technology, heterogeneous catalysis and kinetics, as well as expertise and practical experience in the synthesis, characterization and use of room-temperature ionic liquids.It is a bonus if the candidate also has know-how about heterogeneous catalytic materials, membrane technologies and chemical engineering.Experience in the operation and laboratory practice of high pressure equipment (autoclaves etc.), corrosive substances, HPLC, GC-MS, NMR and other chemical and physical analysis and characterization methods is meritorious.We also demand a documented capability of autonomous scientific research work and skills in writing scientific publications and reports in English.In addition, the postdoctoral researcher is expected to participate in other current research projects within the research group and a willingness to develop research funding possibilities within the research group is encouraged.Very good command of the English language, both written and spoken, is required.The position will be based on a stipend for a duration of two (2) years.Your application should contain a cover letter summarizing your research interests and motives to why you are interested in this particular position.It should also include: (1) a curriculum vitae, (2) a publication list, (3) transcripts of examination certificates, and (4) names and contacts of 1-3 references.The application should not include separate articles or theses.For further information, please contact: Prof.Home page: www.chemistry.umu.se/english/research/technical-chemistry/ Additional links: www.bio4energy.se www.bioraffinaderi.se Documents sent electronically should be in MS Word or PDF format.We look forward to receiving your application!
