Information about the project and the division
This position is in the project Gender education at Chalmers: How, when and where? Funded by GENIE this project will support the development and implementation of the forthcoming plan for integration of gender and diversity in all undergraduate programmes across Chalmers. The aim is to promote the implementation of gender and diversity education in the undergraduate engineering programmes and to connect this teaching to frontline international research in the field.
The position is placed at the Department of Technology Management and Economics at the Division of Science, Technology and Society (STS). The division researches and teaches History of Technology, History of Science, Environmental Humanities, Science and Technology Studies, Policy Studies, Industrial Dynamics and Ethics.
Major responsibilities
1. Follow-up of the trial teaching of gender equality. Provide support for the implementation of gender teaching in other programmes at Chalmers. Network with the involved teaching staff to connect them with relevant research on gender and technology and engineering. Provide support for educational administrators in their continued work with a plan for gender education at Chalmers.
2: Undertake inventory of successes and failures with long-term integration of gender and diversity aspects in undergraduate engineering programmes in Sweden and internationally.
3: Review current research with relevance for the gender education work going on at Chalmers and outline a research agenda eligible for competitive grants.
Position summary
Full-time temporary employment. The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of postdoc, you must have a doctoral degree in any of the fields of gender studies, pedagogy, or education with a specialisation in engineering, technology, or STEM. PhD's combining some of these fields are considered especially relevant. The degree should generally not be older than three years.
The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English. Chalmers offers Swedish courses.

The Department of Technology Management and Economics (TME) broadly researches the interaction between technology development, industrial systems, society, people and the environment. The research can be divided into three main research areas, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain & Operations Management and Sustainability & Society Studies.
