Main campuses are located at Alnarp, Skara, Uppsala and Umeå. www.slu.se Verksamheten vid fakulteten för landskapsplanering, trädgårds- och jordbruksvetenskap är organiserad i åtta områden.Dessa ersätter de tidigare institutionerna.LTJ-fakulteten är en bas för utveckling av starka forsknings- och utbildningsmiljöer.Kraftsamling är nyckelord för fakultetens nya organisation.Duties: The post doctoral researcher will participate in a project addressing tritrophic interactions in the Brassicaceae-Delia radicum-natural enemies-system.The overall aim of the project is to investigate the impact of complementary biological control strategies on D radicum and interactions between the control agents. The mechanism to be studied is the interactions between parasitoid natural enemies (Trybliographa rapae and Aleochara bilineata) and entomopathogenic fungi.The sensory cues and the role of chemical signals involved in behavioral decisions regarding parasitoid oviposition and feeding in contact with fungi infected hosts and host environment will be evaluated by electrophysiological analyses.The behavioral response of parasitoids to fungi infected hosts will also be studied. Qualifications: Ideal candidates hold a Ph.D.in biology, ecology, agronomy, or other relevant discipline.Candidates should be fluent in spoken and written English.Previous work with biological control, entomopathogenic fungi, insect behavior or electrophysiology is an advantage.
