Postdoctoral research position in Molecular epidemiology and functional studies of brain tumours We are searching for a suitably qualified person with good knowledge in the molecular biology of brain tumours.The project aims at understanding the functional implication of genetic variants that have been associated to risk of and glioma prognosis.The project involves high level of statistical competence to handle large amounts of data including both germline and tumour based analyses, with a multi faceted approach in data analyses.The post doc candidate will work jointly with the research group of Molecular Epidemiology of Brain tumours, Department of Radiation Sciences and with the Computational Life Science Cluster (CLiC), both at Umeå University, Sweden.The post-doc candidate should be skilled in both oral and written communication in English, be able to work independently as well as in collaboration with others.The candidate also needs to have experience in working with statistical or bioinformatics software for handling large data sets.Practical experience studies of brain tumours and knowledge in brain tumour biology are a merit.The post doc will collaborate closely with our collaborating centers in US.To qualify for the position, you should have a PhD degree which is not older than 3 years.The application should contain a CV, including academic grades, and list of publications, two personal references along with a letter of one A4 sheet describing yourself and why you apply for this position.Documents sent electronically should be in MS Word or PDF format.We look forward to receiving your application!
