We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in computer science for a fixed-term 1-year appointment at the School of Science and Technology at Örebro University.

Background
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to be based at Örebro University's Centre for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS, http://www.oru.se/aass), which carries out multi-disciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer science.
Our aim with this new recruitment is to further strengthen our research competence within computer science towards topics in the integration of artificial intelligence, robotics and cybersecurity.
Duties and responsibilities
The appointment as a postdoctoral researcher is intended to enable persons who have recently been awarded their doctoral degree, to consolidate and develop primarily their research skills.
The open position relates in particular to the research topic cybersecurity as it relates to the integration of both artificial intelligence and robotics. In addition to scientific publications, the candidate is expected to contribute to successful project demonstrations, and be active in development of courses of this subject.
In order to meet these goals, the candidate is expected to have a demonstrated research background and international publications within cybersecurity applied to topics such as robotics, AI or internet of things. Experience with sensors is an advantage. A solid theoretical background and strong communication skills are also very important, as is the ability to develop course material in this topic. It is not necessary to be familiar with the Swedish language, but proficiency in written/spoken English is mandatory.
Qualifications
Those qualified for appointment as a postdoctoral researcher are applicants who have been awarded a doctoral degree in a subject matter relevant for the position or have a degree from abroad deemed to correspond to a doctoral degree. The degree is to have been awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline. If special grounds exist, a person who has been awarded their doctoral degree prior to that should also be considered. Such grounds comprise leave of absence due to illness, parental leave, clinical practice, positions of trust in a trade union or other similar circumstances.
Assessment criteria
The assessment of the candidates is based on previous research and publication records and the suitability to the topics outlined above, as well as demonstrated programming and deployment skills.
Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken, is a requirement.

This is a fixed-term full-time position for one year with a possible extension for one more year. At Örebro University, salary depends on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
