Our Exciting Opportunity
Power Solutions is responsible for research, development and maintenance of the power solutions for the majority of the Ericsson Product Portfolio! We are part of the Ericsson’s global design organization and engaged in developing products for the present and future mobile networks. We are today five sections in Lindholmen, and we have now started to establish a new Power Design section in Kista.
Power Design Kista is a new team built up from scratch. You will have a big possibility to impact how we form our roles and how to contribute with both technical knowledge and leadership, to improve new ways of working.
We utilize the latest design and simulation tools in order to develop our outstanding products. We keep track of new technology, methodology and design techniques, ensuring that our design activities are kept at a best-in-class level. Our Competence center is based on teamwork and a learning culture with experienced and dedicated individuals. We believe that our employees are the key to our success.
We are now looking for an experienced Power Designer! You will collaborate with Power Solution in Lindholmen and with development projects in Kista, mainly together with Radio and Baseband.
You will interact with different design teams across Ericsson, such as system design, various design groups using the power solution in the product and verification on product and node level. You will be involved in setting architecture and building practice as well as product development integrating/verifying the power solution in the product.
You will
Drive and coordinate Power Design assignments in Kista: Be part of Power Design teams with focus on coordination/communication to Stakeholders in Kista in areas such as systemization, target system aspects, trouble shooting and in product verification to ensure implementation and proper delivery of power solutions for the best quality and performance of the product.
Drive efficient communication and coordination between Power Design and our Partners: Facilitate a good communication between product projects, partners and power design teams. Support object leader, lead engineers and line management in resolving product development issues related to power design.
Drive Innovation and improvements in the power area: Stay informed about industry practices and technical development in the power design area and in its applications. Contribute in technology strategies and product development with respect to power design application.
Drive power technology and power product leadership: Actively influence product development to optimize the product capabilities. Understand customer benefits and value with relation to power solution implementation in products. Feed insights both to Power Solution and Product responsible.
Actively support integration and verification of Power solutions in products: Contribute in integration, verification and troubleshooting of power solutions applied in products and systems.
Drive Product Quality ambition in the Power Design area: Monitor and secure that customer perceived quality aspects are addressed both in functional part of power solutions and HW robustness.
You will report to Section Manager Power Design.
To be successful in the role you must have
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven drive for results.
Excellent skills and several years of experience of power design.
Good understanding of Hardware design and how power design solutions are applied
Radio and/or digital design knowledge are a merit
BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering or equal
Experiences from product requirement breakdown and technical analysis
Knowledge about Ericsson Radio System product and/or portfolio management is a merit
Experience in Product design and/or verification is valuable.
Ability to formulate strategies and concepts
Experience with mentoring, coaching and working with co located teams.
Fluent in English
