Power Electronics design Engineer

The role
We are seeking talents who are either recently graduated or are senior level professionals with years of experience on Power Electronics technology, control and design and Hardware development. Office location for this position could be Västerås, Uppsala or Stockholm.
In this position you are defining the architecture and/or topology to meet customer requirements, design of converters in the field of power electronics with special focus on DC-DC, AC-DC, DC-AC converters for different applications on low- and medium-power products such as Rectifiers, Chargers and Modules, etc.
Also, you must be aware of the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) standards and be familiar with the specifications of the electrical network that powers the board.
To succeed, you have specific interest to Power Electronics and Embedded Systems development for various industry sectors and you have already some experience on power electronics design. You also love to do some practical hands-on work in lab with the electronic devices and circuit boards, using debugging tools and measurement equipment.

Your skills
You have good analytical and problem-solving skills and preferably hold an M.Sc./B.Sc. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar applicable area. You are fluent in written and spoken English, in addition you are a team player with customer-oriented approach and good communication skills.

•   Battery powered and low- and medium-power electronics and  converters
•   Power supply design experience
•   Battery technologies
•   Defining architecture and topologies in designs
•   Experience of design tools like schematic editor and understanding of layout requirements
•   Understanding of EMC
•   Hands-on testing and debugging experience
•   DFM / DFT

We appreciate also special knowledge of one or more of these topics:
•   Automotive industry and battery chargers
•   Smart sensor technologies
•   Embedded Systems experience, HW/SW interfaces
•   Knowledge of digital interfaces and wireless protocols
•   BMS, Battery Management Systems
