Power Electronics Designer

Are you an experienced Electronics Design Engineer who is committed to develop high technology products, for harsh environment and contribute to business success? We are looking for a new member in our expert team, developing Power Electronics in Järfälla!

Your role

As an electronics power designer you will be a part of an expert team which specializes in development of power electronics. Your tasks and challenges will include design of power electronics, dimensioning components for power conversion, optimizing power transmission on a system level, designing for good EMC, power and cooling analyses and much more.

The power units that we are developing have a range from a couple of watts to several kilo watts, both rectification (AC/DC) and DC/DC.

You should have a good understanding of all phases in a development cycle such as:

* Pre study
* Requirement analysis
* Development
* Verification
* Support during the lifecycle of the product.

Your profile

* You have a MSc within electrical engineering or similar and have years of experience of development and testing of power electronics, including AC/DC and DC/DC, transformers and magnetism.
* You can embrace entirety of power distribution, from requirement management to implementation and verification. You understand how to optimize electrical power distribution on a system level and how to design to meet harsh EMC directives and reliability requirements.
* As a person you are prestigeless, engaged and creative, you can work independently but thrive when you are working in teams to reach project goals.
* As Saab is an international organization it is important that you both speak and write fluently in Swedish and English.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be a part of

You will collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that encourage career development and personal growth. You will be part of the Power and Control Electronics design unit within business unit EWAS in Järfälla, who provides innovative systems and services that utilize the electromagnetic spectrum for protection, detection, location and monitoring. It also provides​ tools for intelligence analysis of the information gathered. EWAS is part of the Business Area Surveillance.
