The newly created department Power Electronics designs the brain of the Electric Vehicle propulsion system - The Traction inverter HW & SW as well as power conversion and charger units. Your Contribution
You will contribute to the inverter power electronics design team. Your main contributions will be in the areas of electronic circuitry design - including topology selection, component selection, schematics capture, circuit level simulations, worst case circuit analysis, board level test and bring up.  It may also include electronic component management, involving specifications, suppler selection, and supplier management.

Competence is Important
We believe you have at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical / electronics / embedded systems engineering.  You have several years of experience from electronics design work. Experience from Automotive electronics is preferrable. 

Personality is Key
All of Volvo Cars design work is carried out in Agile design teams. Being a team player with utilizing efficient collaboration with team members and other stakeholders is therefore a key enabler to succeed in the role.

You enjoy sharing your knowledge with others and embrace challenges with an analytical and flexible mindset.
