Who are you?
Are you a first year Master Student at Chalmers? GREAT! That means you have the unique possibility to join us within our initiative Power Up. This student program is a great opportunity to get to know Volvo Group and at the same time being part of developing the future of transport solutions together with us.
What is in it for you?
This program will provide you with skilled professionals as mentors and you will have the possibility to do summer work and master thesis with us at Volvo Group. This is a unique opportunity to get real life industrial experience alongside with your studies. You will be able to see what the skills you are learning at Chalmers are used for in the Volvo Group. At the same time, you will get valuable insights into our company and the challenges we are facing when it comes to create sustainable transport solutions on a global scale. You will experience how it is to work with cutting edge technology on a global scale together with us at Volvo Group.

The program will start during the spring semester of 2024 and continue all the way to graduation. For each position a selection is done based on which master program that is prioritized by that department. This ensures that your education is relevant to the department you will work together with.
The program consists of three different parts; Educations and study visits, Mentorship by Volvo colleagues and contributing to our deliveries by doing a summer work assignment between the Spring and Autumn semester. Also, you will have the opportunity to do a Master Thesis, everything together with your designated department. 
Who are we?
Take the opportunity to learn about how to develop and create transport solutions together with us. Everything from second life of batteries to internal parts in our transmissions. Some words from two of the 25 of the departments that will participate is described below;
“At ESW Strategy and Solutions we collaborate, drive networks and develop technical solutions with a focus on making the production process efficient, flexible and quality assured. We deliver for example tools, systems, process solutions, data analytics and assembly verification operations to ensure the Embedded Software Process globally.” 
“Quality Environment and VPS is supporting the five Europe and Brazil manufacturing plants when it comes to lean system, quality management and environmental management connected to in total 12 000-13 000 employees. With us you focus on quality management (how to manage things to perform as expected) with structural development, creating crash courses, audits and connected problem solving/improvements activities.” 
Are we a perfect match?
The only requirement when you apply is that you have started the first year in a master program at Chalmers.
You will get feedback on your application during w. 8. 

Want to join the team?
The program is run in two different tracks at Volvo Group. One for Group Trucks Technology and one for Group Trucks Operations.
At Group Trucks Operations (GTO) we create customer success through sustainable operations. We are responsible for all production of the Volvo Group’s engines and transmissions as well as all production of Volvo, Renault and Mack trucks. We are also responsible for all spare part supplies to the Group’s customers as well as all logistics. 
The prerequisites for both are the same and you are more than welcome to apply for both. This position here is for the GTO track.
