SAS Technical Operations
SAS Technical Operations is a team of 100 people accountable for the continuing airworthiness of the SAS fleet. It performs a wide variety of tasks including negotiating and managing supplier contracts, engineering, and planning maintenance.
Engineering
The Engineering team is responsible for the implementation of all applicable maintenance and authority requirements, monitoring of fleet reliability, and the aircraft maintenance budget. The team comprises 50 people who work closely with the rest of SAS to deliver on time, sustainable air travel.
Powerplant Engineer
We are looking for a Powerplant Engineer to join our team in Stockholm. As a part of the SAS CAMO, we are responsible for the airworthiness and economical operation of the airline’s engines, APUs, and nacelle components.
As a Powerplant Engineer, your main areas of responsibility will be:
- Managing airworthiness and maintenance related tasks
- Short- and long-term engine fleet planning
- Ownership of a significant maintenance budget, including cost control and forecasting
We’d like our Powerplant Engineers to have:
- Either relevant experience in aviation engineering and maintenance or an engineering degree
- Preferably experience from CAMO engineering in an airline
Powerplant Engineers should be the type of people who:
- Put safety first in all they do
- Work well under pressure
- Prioritise efficiently and be able to both handle day-today firefighting and strategic activities simultaneously
