As a Powertrain Software Test Engineer, you will be a valuable member of our agile Powertrain Software and Testing team. We are responsible for developing, diagnosing, and calibrating vehicle functions in C to control all aspects of vehicle powertrain systems. Our primary focus is on achieving exceptional vehicle performance while maintaining a high safety standard. We are makers and inventors who aren't afraid of tough challenges!

We are looking for a enthusiastic colleague who will design and implement (virtual) test scenarios to help us in our continuous evolution and in reaching the highest quality software, bringing new perspectives and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

- Design and Develop Test Scenarios to validate software functionality, ensuring they align with project specifications and requirements with a primary focus on virtual testing while not limited to it.
- Work closely with software developers to understand system architecture, identify potential issues, and integrate virtual testing seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for virtual testing, utilizing appropriate tools and frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Optimize Testing Processes , tools, and methodologies to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test scripts, and testing procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility for the broader development and testing teams.
- Participate actively in our Agile development process , attending sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective integration of virtual testing within the development cycle.

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

A good understanding of the the automotive powertrain.

Proven track record of designing and implementing test scenarios for complex software systems.

Experience in model based software development using Matlab/Simulink.

Proficiency in Python, C/C++.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug software issues in complex systems, with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and adopt new technologies and methodologies.

Strong Team work skills, proactive way of working, outside of the box thinking.

- Professional level of English.

It's a plus:

- Formula Student, FSAE, Motorsports, and/or Automotive experience.
- Project car or self-maintained track day car.
- Strong ability to analyze the impact of a change on the car as a whole, not just one subsystem.
