Powertrain Strategy Benchmark Analyst

CEVT Powertrain Engineering is responsible to gather powertrain strategy and benchmark data from EU and US, and to distribute that information inside GEELY. 

As a Powertrain Strategy Analyst, you will be working in the Powertrain Strategy team. Your role will be to lead strategical initiatives inside CEVT Powertrain Engineering, support the ongoing product development projects with strategy and benchmark information, and to gather information on the Powertrain Strategy of key competitors and benchmark competitor products. Powertrain Systems ranging from HEV to BEV and REx including components like: engine, transmission, battery, inverter as well as electric motor are of interest. Among your tasks will be to set up a database of information and to keep it up to date with the latest information from all available sources; internet, conferences, press releases, magazines etc. in China, EU, US and other key markets. You will join key conferences in EU and potentially also in China. Further, you will present the information you gathered for various teams at GEELY /CEVT / Volvo Cars including management level. You will be working very close to, and reporting directly to the Director Powertrain Strategy. 
In this role you will be part of an agile and experienced international team with members in Sweden and China. The work culture is characterized by teamwork, ambition and can-do spirit.

Responsibilities and tasks 
* Lead initiatives within Powertrain Strategy 
* Support product development projects with strategy and benchmark information 
* Gather information on competitor Powertrain Strategy and products 
* Develop a database with the information 
* Filter the information based on guidelines developed together with manager 
* Create monthly reports and distribute the information 
* Create presentations adapted for the intended audience and present these 
* Cooperate with team members located in Sweden and China 


Needed Competencies/Skills 
* Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Mechanical-, Applied Physics-, Electromechanical Engineering or similar 
* Approximately 5 years of experience from product development within powertrain engineering 
* Excellent understanding of hybrid powertrain technology and/or vehicle systems engineering 
* Fluent in English language and Mandarin or Swedish 
* Business acumen 
* Project management experience is a merit 
* Excellent presentation and communication skills are required  
* Cultural awareness; especially China - Sweden 


Software and IT:  
* MS Office 
* Sharepoint is a merit 
* Database management software is a merit
