What we do at Detectify
Detectify offers a web application security scanner that automates hacker attacks to help businesses stay safe. Our founders are among the best ethical hackers in the world - having hacked tech giants such as Google, Facebook, or Dropbox. Today, we collaborate with over 200 handpicked white-hat hackers to continually help clients like Trello, Spotify and King make their websites more secure.

The Marketing Team
Our Marketing department consists of a cross-functional team of eight people working with content, ethical hacking research, web editing, performance marketing, BI, events, and graphic design. Now, we are looking to grow and strengthen the team in the upcoming months. Together, you will spread the word about Detectify in our target markets and build a global brand!

What you'll get to do
As our PR Specialist, you will work on maintaining media relations and collaborating with the Marketing team in promotional activities. You will be responsible for growing, shaping and maintaining Detectify’s reputation and brand. You will also identify media opportunities, maintain existing media relations, and promote positive public awareness of the company through external communications.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

- Formulating PR plan and strategies
- Enhancing the company's voice and presence through online and offline channels
- Managing media relations and requests
- Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts
- Ensuring all communications is cohesive with the brand image
- Pitching story ideas and content to media
- Writing press releases, speeches and other PR copy
- Drafting case studies, white-papers and media summaries
- Participating and presenting solutions in times of PR crisis
- Manage owned Social Media channels
- Tracking and analysing media coverage
- Organising, scheduling, and preparing key leaders for press interviews


Who you are
You are fluent in English and have 3-4 years of experience in PR. You have a creative yet practical mind and you are comfortable with presenting and speaking in public. You keep yourself informed and up-to-date by following media outlets and you are familiar with using various social media platforms (such as Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin etc.)

Other requirements include:

- Experience in project management and execution of PR campaigns and or initiatives
- Experience in copywriting and editing
- Working knowledge of MS Office/Google Docs, photo and video editing software is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, journalism or related field
