The Banking practice provides support to client teams serving the financial sector. We are now seeking a (senior) practice manager to manage our operations globally. The Practice Manager Global Banking will work closely with the practice leadership to define and drive the overall practice strategy. This person will be a thought partner to our leaders on new and innovative approaches to reach our clients and drive special initiatives that arise based on practice priorities.


OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and coordinate roll-out of practice initiative agenda
- Provide thought partnership on governance and performance issues
- Organize and drive agenda for leadership meetings
- Manage financial processes (annual budget, monthly, activity metrics, any other reporting) and contracts with external providers
- Manage reputation building and competitive intelligence activities
- Liaise with and establish both formal and informal relationships with other Firm groups including Firm functions, Functional Practices, Industry Practices and other special initiatives for collaboration or development
- Provide thought partnership to Client service teams to help them shape strategies for client discussions and engagements as well as requests to “get involved’ in the practice

Required skills
The Practice Manager Global Banking serves as a member of the practice core leadership. He/She must therefore demonstrate a strong sense of entrepreneurship and ownership as well as an ability to effectively engage the practice leadership and staff.
The candidate should also be a skilled communicator, a keen observer of emerging issues, and a strong analytical thinker. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop broad networks are of great importance, as are people management and development skills.
Deep knowledge of banking is a requirement.
3-5 years experience in a professional consulting firm is required, either in a practice management or consulting role.
