Tetra Pak Processing designs, supplies, installs, and commissions processing equipment as well as provides after sales service to producers of Dairy, Cheese, Prepared Food, Ice cream, Beverage and Cosmetics products. Within this organization we have the Pre-Project Department as part of the Order Fulfilment Capital Equipment Engineering Centre North Europe.
We are looking for a Pre-Project Manager, who will be responsible for preparing Production Solutions. You will report to the Team Leader Pre Projects, and you will be part of the Project Centre North Europe Pre-Project Team of 19 persons.
This position is office based in Lund, Sweden, but you need to be prepared and flexible to travel up to 20%. This means approximately 1 day in a working week will be spent at customer site within the North Europe market area (mainly the Nordics Countries, but also to UK and Ireland and the Benelux countries).
What you will do
Lead the pre-project phase and take overall responsibility for the pre-project execution in compliance with the project governance and quality procedures in place.
Understand the client’s need and propose the appropriate solution to meet their expectation
Study the client’s tender materials, flag, discuss and document deviations from Tetra Pak standards
Create the technical solution, develop the process functional diagrams and P&IDs
Specify the equipment, calculate the costs and cooperate with supply management to deliver request for quotations to the third-party equipment and services providers
Develop the project time schedule and define the commissioning and performance criteria
Prepare the quotation materials and contract documents.
Drive the design review, risk assessment and quotation reviews
Support the sales team to deliver technical and/or commercial presentation of the Tetra Pak offer to customers
Drive productivity in pre-project through utilisation of global reusable solutions, processes, and tools (OFCE, project governance, risk management, etc.).
For sold projects, drive the project handover to the implementation project manager and project team and provide support as needed
Capture and document the lessons learned in the sales phase
Who you are
Outstanding negotiator and communicator, who can communicate effectively both with your colleagues at sales, engineering and supply chain, and your customers and suppliers.
You are able to manage the promises and expectations in a way to bring satisfaction for all stakeholders. This enables you to control the project in the sales phase.
You have a strong technical background both in theory and practice, and a degree level in an Engineering or food related subject.
You have at least 5 years working experience from the food industry. During these years you have designed and implemented food processing solutions.
You are familiar with the newest technologies of food processing, and you have a sustainably mindset
You worked with customer tenders and delivered tenders to suppliers
You have probably previously worked as a process engineer, upgrades engineer, process design engineer, project engineer, sales engineer or even as a project manager.
