Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions is a business area segment within Sandvik Group – with revenues that will reach a run-rate of over 2 billion SEK by the end of 2021 and around 1500 people worldwide incorporating the three divisions of Design & Planning Automation, Additive Manufacturing and Metrology. Areas where we hold leading market positions and are uniquely positioned due to our extensive industrial experience and expertise in advanced materials, materials shaping and digital solutions. Our ambition is to grow the business to 4 billion SEK before 2025 through organic growth in combination with M&A.
Right now, we’re looking for an experienced and forward thinking business leader to join us as President for Metrology division within Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions - where you get to connect with brilliant minds as you shape our future journey in the area of Metrology, unlock value for both customers and stakeholders and strengthen our place in an international and innovative arena.
About the job
With a customer centric approach, you drive our global business into the future of Metrology and take full ownership of our direction and strategy execution. You ensure growth, profitability, digitalization and innovation – both through organic development and through acquisitions, partnerships and alliances. You focus to bring the Metrology division to the next level and develop our operations in line with customer needs, new technology and Industry 4.0, as well as ensure continued success in well-established areas. You also form a united division approach together with business unit managers with full accountability and strong commitment to our strategies. By inspiring high performance and improvements and by constantly enhancing our offer, you secure our place as a top industrial player in the area of Industrial Metrology.
Other highly important items on your agenda are making sure that we conduct business in a safe and sustainable manner. You set the organizational design and operations, and ensure a culture of diversity and inclusion, and optimizing the engagement of the organization with strong commitment to our strategies. Acting in a decentralized environment, you’re known for your great collaboration skills and the way you form strong networks. As part of a larger organization, you work closely within Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions and relevant parts of Sandvik Group, and you also establish smart and effective ways of interacting with key stakeholders.
You report to the President of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions and actively contribute in SMF management team, where you also utilize the possibility to learn from others and bring the entire business area segment forward. Location for this role is preferably Stockholm, Sweden, but other locations can also be considered for the right candidate. Global travel is a natural part of the job.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring general manager with a value-based leadership style and a broad business mind. You hold a technical or commercially oriented university degree and have a solid background from successfully leading a global organization, preferably within the global manufacturing domain. Experience from business development and previous profit and loss responsibility is necessary. You also know how to balance and act on a forward-thinking strategy with the tactical ability of driving execution in a shifting market. As we act across borders and cultures, you naturally need an open mind and advanced communication skills in English.
Collaboration, stakeholder management and customer relations are your success factors, and you capture opportunities in innovations and new ideas without losing track of our direction. You’re also confident and brave in decision-making and you take lead in initiating change. With your truly customer focused outlook, you promote areas that are beneficial to both our customers and our own conditions.
