Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Do you want to be part of shaping one of the most progressive sectors to be found in the transport area? As a Pricing Manager, you are responsible to oversee the pricing needs of the organization, to identify the best value based pricing schemes for the product & solution offerings involving, product management and sales. We are in a very exciting time with major changes in the industry as well as within Scania, seeing and influencing first-hand the transition to sustainable people transport, and this is an opportunity to be in the very centre of that change. After the successful introduction of our new bus range we now have a great focus within Buses and Coaches on establishing the new pricing, and this is a pivotal position in that journey.

The position is based within the Travel Solutions team within Product Management and Presales at Scania Buses and Coaches, but the responsibility spans over all of Buses and Coaches. Product Management and presales has the global responsibility to assure that the right solutions for People Transport are developed and delivered, and to ensure that our current portfolio delivers expected results. This is being done through focus on pricing, product cost, marketing activities, solution approach, and sales and presales support. You will be part of a team with both experience and drive, and as a Pricing Manager you will have the opportunity build a great insight into the bus product and bus business as well as build a network within the company.

The tasks include:


• Develop price lists with logical price steps between the performance steps based on the customer value
• Ensure that the gross price list is updated and that all components have logical prices based on customer benefits
• Close cooperation with other Pricing Managers within sales and marketing to make sure all new features that are introduced get a new price
• Support the Area managers in creating net price lists for the different markets
• Build and maintain the tools used for pricing
• Maintain close cooperation with R&D, Product Managers and Area Sales Managers to stay updated on all the new developments on both the product and market
• Work cross functionally with controlling and Product Cost Analyst to make sure the base cost is accurate.

The key to succeeding in this role is strong analytical skills and the ability to perform advanced analyses while at the same time maintaining the overview and not getting lost in the details. A personal drive to develop and good cooperation and communication skills are also highly valued since it will be a work with many interfaces, and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities is a must. Experience from bus or truck products, from R&D or Sales and Marketing is meriting, strong skills in analysis tools such as MS Excel and/or PowerBI is also necessary. You have a university degree within a technical- or business field.
