The Tanto International School is looking for a qualified, person to teach one of our classes across the whole curriculum as a Primary/Elementary Teacher.

The Tanto International School is an English speaking private primary school established in 1983. We are a small school in Stockholm City; located on the beautiful island of Södermalm. We offer children and parents a very friendly and unique educational opportunity with high standards and expectations. We have recently had an inspection and were extremely pleased with the observations made by the inspectors (May 2013).

The school follows the English National Curriculum and the environment for the students is more structured than many schools in the Swedish system. The school is well established and provides a stimulating and fun working environment. We have enthusiastic and well-behaved students. Our teachers are highly professional and are able to deliver the curriculum in an interesting and disciplined environment. Tanto International School is a very special primary school that offers all staff a wonderful work place, due to the positivity of colleagues, parents and children. Our small class sizes (max 20) allow teachers the opportunity and flexibility to really excel in their profession and enjoy their job.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic native English speaker with a teaching degree. Good classroom organisation and high expectations of behaviour are essential.
2 years experience of primary teaching is desirable but new teachers are very much encouraged to apply.
Particular skills in Music, Crafts or P.E may be advantageous.

We expect all our staff to be proficient in the use of ICT in the classroom.
Experience using Apple Macintosh computers and software (there are no PCs in the school) would be useful.
