Digital Technologies is a new function within Group IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. We develop and accelerate adoption of emerging digital technologies. We also manage, develop, and scale the delivery of digital technology platforms and products/services to build on, across the Volvo Group. We work with Mobile, XR, IoT, Blockchain, Hyper automation, Citizen Development, Content Services and more...
Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

You are an experienced IT Architect who has great experience and a true passion for developing and accelerating an adoption of emerging digital technologies and see all the benefits these great technologies can provide from a business purpose.
You are curious to understand the needs of the teams to be able to provide the best fit in our solutions. You always have an ear with your stakeholders and believe in the power of collaboration. Working in a global context is something that comes naturally to you.
As Principal Architect Digital Technologies you will lead architecture for Digital Technologies function. You will engage with the market and our partners, as well as collaborate closely with the business to both understand needs and to ensure that we provide a best in class and fit for purpose, digital technologies, to enable Volvo Group Digital & ITs transformation journey.
You will be part of the Digital Technologies Management Team and report to the Head of Digital Technologies.
Who are you?
We believe you thrive on working in a global team with amazing, talented people. To be successful in this position we believe:
• You have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience from software architecture in complex domains that spans the enterprise.
• You have architecture and technology skills, and you understand architecture principles
• You can integrate all architecture disciplines (Business, Data, Application, Integration, Technology, Security)
• You are comfortable in discussing with business about requirements and participate in Steering Committees
• You have good presentation skills (written and verbal) and are able to put forward your points in a fact based and convincing manner
• You are able to assess and manage IT risks and issues
• You are a team player and can work in collaboration with the team
• You have been a practitioner in Software Engineering or IT Architecture for 8+ years.
You can think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity, and managing changing priorities. You are passionate about driving strategic & technological transformation in a business focused, fact-based and collaborative way to achieve real impact.
In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
