What do we do?


Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group Truck Technology and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System. At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the complete Energy Storage System, from market analysis via advanced engineering throughout product development into the maintenance phase.

You will


Transform the way our solutions influence the world. You have a strategic mindset and the ability to develop Volvo Group’s next generation Energy Storage Systems into a world-class leading solution as a benchmark.

You’ll lead senior battery experts to define the future Energy Storage System architectures, balance requirements and technical parameters to judge what is the overall best battery solution.
It includes technically evaluating the customer requirements to define the overall optimum Energy Storage Systems architecture for the Volvo Group. Based on your long-lasting experience in battery system development you easily take the role to further develop the technical competence in our team and to guide and consult the different technical teams in project execution. The daily work has interface with several stakeholders, other engineering, and management teams, enabling proactive and constructive co-operation. Your ownership mentality will help others grow.

Relevant experience:
Outstanding competence on advanced battery architectures, sub-systems and components
Solid knowledge of market trends in the battery industry
Minimum 6 years of experience in automotive high-voltage battery development in different roles along the entire product lifecycle – from advanced engineering via industrialization to aftermarket, recycling, and re-use
Expertise in both areas, hardware, and software development.
At least 10 years of experience in automotive product development
Expertise in battery requirement management incl. processes, tools and advanced system engineering methods.
M.Sc. in Electrics, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar

Meritorious:
Knowledge about commercial vehicles, its demands and usage
Proven project management skills
Specific tools know how: JIRA, Confluence, System Weaver, etc.
