We are looking for people with a strong technical background, who have equally strong interpersonal skills, knowledge and passion for the Communications industry. Working in a distributed Consulting project team, you will need to combine a high degree of self-sufficiency with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in countries across the globe.
You are a consulting professional with extensive experience of Communications application solutions, industry best practices, business processes & technology design. You operate independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Perform varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle billing applications and technology to meet customer needs.
Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on complex customer engagements. May act as a team lead on projects. You consult effectively with management of customer organizations. Also participate in business development activities during project opportunity development. Ability to travel as needed.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Communications billing & charging application & technical expertise relevant to practice focus.
Technical skills
C, C++, Java programming skills and knowledge of other Java application development technologies
Experience developing and performance tuning multi-threaded/multi-process applications
Hands on experience working with any RDBMS, PL/SQL
Good understanding of Rest API, SOAP, Webservice development
Understanding of Cloud Native tools, technologies and framework
Working knowledge of a scripting language like shell, perl, python, etc.
Exposure to one of the configuration and release management tool like SVN, GIT, CVS etc.
Exposure to use of activity & defect tracking tool like Jira, Redmine etc.
Proficiency developing functional / technical designs using Visio, UML, requirements gathering, test case development, use case documentation
Should have experience working on waterfall, Agile/Scrum or iterative model projects and should be flexible to work in a DevOps environment
Communications Industry Application Skills
5+ yrs telecoms industry
3 yrs telecoms billing/charging system knowledge, including application architecture & design responsibilities (Oracle Billing &Revenue Management - BRM preferred)
Involvement in two or more telecoms billing system implementation projects
Very strong understanding of telecoms prepaid/postpay/convergent billing & charging architecture and associated integrations (mediation, voucher management, G/L, A/R, taxation integrations)
Strong understanding and hands-on experience of Product catalog modelling, including rate plan configuration
Experience of configuring Sy/Gy interfaces, experience of working with Diameter protocol
Experience of application extension (e.g. BRM opcode) development using best practices in regards to memory management and performance optimization
Strong customer-facing domain skills - should be able to drive billing/charging-related workshops with the customer
