Principal Data Engineer

Reykjavik/Berlin/Stockholm - Full Time

We're looking for a passionate Principal Data Engineer with experience building data pipelines in a cloud environment to join our Data Science and AI team in Reykjavik, Berlin or Stockholm.


About the Role
As a Sidekick Health Principle Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust data pipelines which empower data-driven business decisions as well as providing input to our analytics and machine learning solutions. You will work in a product team collaborating closely with our developers, machine-learning engineers and data scientists.

Responsibilities and Duties:
. Take responsibility for the quality of the data infrastructure with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
. Build a scalable and high-quality data infrastructure in cooperation with our data scientists and software engineers.
. Build and maintain cloud-based solutions to support reporting, analytics, machine learning and large-scale data processing

About You:
. Master's degree (or equivalent through work experience) in computer science, software/computer engineering, mathematics, physics or other relevant fields
. Experience as a data engineer, 5+ years
. Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (or similar)
. Programming experience, ideally including Python or Java
. Excellent SQL skills
. Hands-on experience of ETL development and data processing
. Ability to perform both in a team environment and independently
. Fluency in written and spoken English

. Having worked in a startup environment
. Having worked on healthcare-related projects
