About this opportunity:

Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) is looking for a Principal Developer Radio System-on-Chip Technology to strengthen the Radio Architecture organization within Radio System and Technology (RST). The focus of this Principal Developer position is to balance Radio product requirements, Radio functionality and available silicon technologies to realize the Radio SoC solutions needed to enable Ericsson’s Radio products.

What you will do:

As PEU Radio representative recommend which silicon technology node and silicon technology IP to select based on cost, power consumption and technology maturity.
By interacting with industry, research and academia and pushing technology development, uphold PEU Radios deep knowledge and outlook of SoC technology trends.
Define and coordinate selection of digital content in Radio SoC towards PEU Silicon, S&T and Ericsson Research.
Define and propose studies and evaluations of future silicon technology and IP for Ericsson Radio SoC’s.
Define the Radio SoC integration of digital parts such as DFE, CPU, DSP, high-speed interfaces and interfaces for realization of intra-package and inter-package communication.
Define Soft DFE Technology strategy and align with Algorithm, EMCA HW and BBI.
Represent PEU Radio in external relations with suppliers.
Foster innovation and file patents in the domain to secure relevant intellectual property for Ericsson.
Teach, coach, and mentor colleagues on the different aspects of the domain.
Stay updated on key industry trends, academic research, and technology development in the domain and disseminate acquired knowledge across the organization. Close the gap between research and product development.
Build and maintain a professional and international network of peer technology authorities within and outside Ericsson. Represent Ericsson as a technical leader in the field.


The skills you bring:

10+ years' experience of Digital ASIC design.
Proven experience of multiple tape-out in state-of-the-art silicon technology nodes.
Proven experience in ASIC and FPGA definition and requirements setting.
Technical Expertise in DFE Architecture including low-power techniques, interfaces, soft DFE.
Knowledge of radio functions including DPD and PIMC and balance available silicon technologies to realize the Radio SoC solutions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a track record of guiding senior developers and leading architectural decisions in complex, distributed environments.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to align technical decisions with business goals, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation in a highly competitive industry.


Vetting including references and relevant background screening will be conducted for final candidates.
