As Principal Developer, RAN Architecture and Evolution you will be a key person in shaping Ericsson’s world leading Radio Access Network (RAN) system. You will drive and coordinate architectural and technological studies associated with the RAN, within S&T, in the rest of the BNEW organization and towards Ericsson Research.
As part of the Technology Testbeds organization, you will be a technical leader in the RAN area in the testbed program and especially in the 6G testbed project.
This requires both a deep knowledge and extensive experience in the RAN area as well as an extra-ordinary drive and foresight to identify and develop the technological components needed to ensure Ericsson’s technological leadership in future RAN products and releases.
What you will do
* Scope, define and drive architectural studies in the RAN domain
* Analyze global technological trends and developments, including but not limited to radio access, AI in RAN, cloudification of the RAN.
* Be a technical leader of systems activities in the 6G Testbed project
* Participate in roadmap activities to shape the 5G RAN evolution and 6G RAN

What you will bring
* Ph D in a relevant academical field
* 10+ years experience as a technical coordinator/architect in the RAN domain
* Deep knowledge in radio access technologies
* Deep knowledge in software architecture and design
* Proven leadership skills as a formal or informal technical leader
* Innovativeness
* Strong analytical and deductive abilities
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of relevant 3GPP and ORAN standards


Additional qualifications
* Knowledge of signal processing
* Knowledge of software development methodologies
* Knowledge of radio and advanced antenna technologies
