We are hiring at Baxter R&D in Lund – Now there’s a unique opportunity for you to join a team dedicated to the mission to save and sustain life where you will be part of a creative team and use new, innovative tools and technology to develop the future of devices within dialysis.

You will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and documentation of dialysis equipment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will cover systems engineering related activities on product development programs, exhibiting verbal and written communication skills.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Join systems engineering efforts for a complex, software-driven medical device.
Conducting system integration, testing and trouble shooting
Development and maintenance of product requirements, specifications, design description and other technical documentation.
Participate in Risk Management activities to ensure that design and process shortcomings are identified and appropriately addressed.
Work with subsystem teams, domain subject matter experts, and suppliers in the identification, assessment, and resolution of integration and test issues
TRAVELS:
Travels may be required, normally less than 20%
EDUCATION:
University Degree in Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent in a technical/scientific field).
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
3+ years’ experience working as Engineer on product design, development, and/or testing; experience with medical device products is preferred
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Fluent in English.
Ability to deal within an international and multi-site environment
Welcome is experience with medical device design and development processes that conform to standards including ISO 9000, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 60601, and ISO 14971.
Technical understanding of and experience with best-practice product development methodologies.
