Human Resources and Organizational Development, HR & OD will play a vital role to guide and support Group Digital & IT through the digital transformation, as one of the biggest challenges in this journey is the transformation of our workforce competence, skills and capacity. It will require agile and efficient workforce analytics to develop a workforce strategy that capitalizes on our internal strengths and abilities, while at the same time fully leverages on global market opportunities.
The Strategic Workforce & Capacity Planning function is now searching for a
Principal Global Workforce Capacity Planning
In this role you will report to the Head of Strategic Workforce & Capacity Planning. This function covers the full circle from Workforce Strategy to Capacity Planning and Workforce Analytics. We are a small team with a reputation of being in the forefront in Volvo Group in putting workforce analytics in the context of the stakeholder to enable fact-based decision making. We now need to strengthen the team to reach the next level in our ambitions to support this digital transformation.
This is how you could make an impact
As Principal Global Workforce Capacity Planning you will be responsible for the process that constitutes as a hub for most workforce related activities. Successfully implemented, the capacity plan provides focus and tangible content for:
Delivery Functions to structure their Workforce Transformation in line with the ambitions and goals of the digital transformation and supporting workforce strategy
Country Leads to support our workforce growth & branding in the respective countries
Learning Strategies to tailor make offerings based on future demand
Comp & Ben to remove hurdles and secure attractive offerings for competence & capacity needs with tough market competition
Finance to anticipate workforce growth and progress
You will also play an active, if not leading role in coordinating the HR & OD Calendar. By coordinating the agenda with representatives in all Functions, you make sure that initiatives driven by HR&OD are well received, understood and prioritized by the Group Digital & IT community. In short, by this coordination you support “gluing” the organization together from a Country and Function dimension, leveraging fully on the support from HR Capabilities.

As a Principal Global Workforce Capacity Planning, you will be exposed to senior management and can rely on several years of experience in senior stakeholder management. You also have experience:
in planning processes at large scale, not necessarily within workforce planning.
from leading roles, such as Project or Line Management, and are used to drive initiatives with a cross-functional teams
You are a visionary that doesn´t hesitate to break old patterns and see opportunities. Furthermore, you have the proven ability to sell and transform those ideas via a structured and tangible action plan into reality.
You have a problem-solving mindset and the courage to take well evaluated risks. You have the courage to challenge stakeholders when necessary.
