Arbetsbeskrivning
Northvolt‘s journey started in Västerås, Sweden with Northvolt Labs, a prototyping factory already in operation. The first phase of giga-factory - Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå is about to start manufacturing, while further expansion project has already kicked off. In Poland we have just broken ground on which a new Northvolt Systems assembly plan will be constructed. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building the landscape of first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
We have an awesome job offer for a Principal Planning and Logistics Developer to join our excellent and passionate team at Northvolt in Stockholm. As key player in our Team your assignment will be to to plan, design, develop and implement logistical solutions for cell manufacturing and recycling activities, securing Northvolt’s successful growth in Sweden, Poland, Germany and beyond.
You would as well play an active role in recruitment of your future "on the ground" colleagues. Having prepared a solid framework you would hand over executional responsibility to the local organisation you would have co-recruited.
We:
In broad terms and without going into too much detail, Team Logistics and Planning looks after everything that moves or needs to be stored. Before it does, we also need to do quite a bit of planning.
Our job is:
to support Northvolt’s mission, growth and expansion with quality planning and logistics design
to build a scalable operational and organisational framework, within which Northvolt units execute and
to enable a sustainable, resilient and efficient supply chain
You:
First and foremost - you are a supply chain professional at heart. In your career you had the opportunity to work with different pockets of a broader supply chain scope, ideally in different industries, with one of them being OEM / Tier1 landscape.
You understand very well the importance of SIOP, planning and forecasting as an enabler for a successful operational execution. You used to be engaged in capacity studies, identified bottlenecks and secured availability of resources.
We believe that you as well have a reasonable level of experience within logistics and transportation. For a few years now, you have either designed and developed logistical networks or managed the execution, monitored, and followed up international shipping across different transport modes. You are familiar with the administrative side of the logistical process, documentation required to despatch, clear customs, receive and store cargo.
Ideally, you have had a chance to experience all of the above in an environment of very quick growth, where not always are you in possession of all the information you would wish for and where data at hand may be incomplete.
At Northvolt, we grow like hell. Having shipped only parcels just 3 years ago, we will very soon move tens of thousands of container loads per annum, across various geographies.
It's pretty amazing, right?
Together with the Team, in your job you will:
be the main contact for planning logistics queries regrading movement and storage of raw materials, components and recyclable battery waste
lead Planning and Logistics development projects within Northvolt cell manufacturing and recycling landscape
prepare logistical input for future Northvolt factories' design
liaise with colleagues and stakeholders and prepare relevant business requirement information necessary for procurement of logistics services
onboard Logistics Service Providers for relevant operational assignments
prepare and anchor internal and external Standard Operational Procedures for planning and logistical processes
take part in recruitment of colleagues across both Group, as well as Local Planning and Logistics organisations
serve as an escalation point for colleagues representing Northvolt Planning and Logistics operations
support implementation of vital planning and logistics systems: MRP, MES, WMS, TMS
continuously improve overall Northvolt operations
