About the job
In this position, you work with grade and technology development for Solid Round Tools. By testing and evaluating potential new materials and technologies, you participate in determining the final solutions for our tools. You act as a test leader and are responsible for evaluating the performance of the tools in our workshops. Integrating new sustainable technologies into our products is a cornerstone in our strategy, and you support this by identifying, developing and industrializing new technologies.
Combining competencies from different technical areas to find the optimal solution is part of your job and a way to success. With a hands-on attitude, you participate in projects, developing new knowledge, products, and technologies. You hold a key position in supporting our ambitious strategies. Your road to success also lies in your everyday collaboration with stakeholders, such as technical experts and suppliers, as well as other divisions and product areas. You frequently visit our customers to create an understanding of their needs and collect feedback – making you a truly important player in our continuous development in the area!
You’re based in Västberga, Stockholm and we apply a hybrid work set-up where you can combine office work with work from home or any other location. Travelling is a natural part of this role. As R&D Engineer, you belong to our global Offer & Technology team, reporting to the Grade and Technology Manager. About you
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Material Science or other relevant field and long and qualified experience from the technology area. You’re interested in new technologies, and how to introduce these in our future product offer. As we work in an international setting, you need good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and knowledge of Swedish or other languages is a plus.

You’re a true networker and an accountable problem-solver, who constantly shares knowledge to reach given targets and ensure the success of our team.
