The Design Method Development department at Sandvik Coromant is responsible for governing, developing, implementing, and supporting design methods – joining our department, you have the freedom to be truly creative and explore new technologies and opportunities within a global, cross-functional environment!
Your mission
In this position, your primary focus will be on standardizing and further developing the CAD methods that will enable automation of our downstream processes. You work with and develop Rule-Based Design and facilitate its implementation in all our existing and new product areas. Having an end-to-end overview of product development and manufacturing processes is required to help further develop standardization of design for manufacturing to enable CAM and CMM. Additionally, you play a key role in the development of functionality within our CAD and PLM systems as well as leading the development of our internal training offer and providing support as a mentor in existing and new areas of interest.
This position is based in Sandviken and allows for a hybrid working schedule. Some international travel is required.
Your profile
To this position, we’re looking for someone with a master’s degree or higher education in a relevant field of study as well as several years of experience in a similar position to this one. Having knowledge of systems such as NX and PLM is advantageous. As we act in a global environment you need excellent communication skills in English, while knowing Swedish or any other language are merited.
