You will play a key role in the build-out of a new quality management function for advanced technical systems solving complex business requirements for exciting and demanding customers within the FinTech industry.


About the role:


Nasdaq is looking for a Principal Software Quality Manager to spearhead a new function for cross-product Quality Assurance and Quality Control at Nasdaq Global Technology in Stockholm. You will play a key part in shaping the future strategy for quality management taking the organization towards an agile way of managing quality. The role encompasses the complete product portfolio of Software Products and Software Services for Market Infrastructure Operations and spans the complete securities transaction processing chain from trading via clearing & risk to settlement & depository. You will be working directly with the senior managers of the different product teams in the Product & Platform Engineering organization.


Your responsibilities:


In this role, you will lead improvement initiatives in both areas of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. You will also provide thought leadership in the development of the future quality management strategy aimed at taking the quality ambitions of the product portfolio to the next level including adopting an agile way-of-working with a Quality Engineering mindset. Moreover, you will ensure that the Product & Platform Engineering organization has common practices and processes in place in all aspects of the quality work, from product development lifecycle governance to test process adherence and information security compliance.

Furthermore, you will have the following responsibilities:


Lead quality management improvement initiatives within the existing quality assurance framework
Provide thought leadership aimed at taking the development organization towards an agile view on quality management
Lead change in test methodology and test process to improve quality in product deliveries for customers
Lead the development of test automation strategies including E2E functional verification, non-functional verification and parallel testing (aka twin testing)
Develop KPIs for measuring quality and test coverage
Report progress to monthly steering committee meetings
Eventually head-up a team of quality experts aimed at governing quality throughout the development organization


You will bring:


A degree in Computer Science or other related discipline
Demonstrated experience from strategic work in both quality assurance and quality control from a large software organization including profound knowledge of ISO25010 implementations
Experience from quality assurance maturity models such as TMMI and TPI
Experience from agile quality management with experience from Quality Engineering
Hands-on testing experience from technical complex systems in an international environment
A history of analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
Demonstrated leadership, professionally or at a non-profit organization
Abilities to engage and collaborate closely with external clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a high pace environment
