Principal Validation Engineer

Northvolt is looking for a Principal Validation Team to join R&D Validation group.
The responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
Develop framework for safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation in close collaboration with test and validation managers and team members
Build and grow relationships with research institutes and universities to have access to latest research findings and innovative methods for safety, environmental and mechanical validation
Develop long-term competence and test capability roadmap for safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation in close collaboration with test and validation managers
Provide deep technical knowledge to safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation teams in case of complex or novel topics
Provide deep technical knowledge to Northvolt cell manufacturing and quality for safety, environmental and mechanical topics
Veto-Right within Validation Group for technical decisions related to safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation



Requirements:
Qualifications/education/experience
University degree within relevant field or comparable work experience
>10 years of experience in Li-Ion cell safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation
Good communication skills with stake holders on different hierarchical levels and customers

Specific skills (eg specific programmes, languages, certifications etc.)
Deep and broad knowledge about Li-Ion cell safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation
Good knowledge of relevant test standards for Li-Ion cell safety, environmental and mechanical test and validation.
