PRINCIPAL SYSTEM VERIFICATION ENGINGEER AT VOLVO BUSES

We are now looking to recruit the right person to head our development within test & verification environments, automated regression tests and continuous integration and deployment of software.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be leading a small team of around six people that has the shared responsibility to develop and maintain the test environments, rigs and system needed for our software development process. The systems will be used to test both in-house developed software as well as integration of software from our suppliers, mainly from our friends at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The team is also responsible to secure stable and continuous integration of software towards test vehicles as well as deployment to our production and the service market.
Your area of responsibility will be to plan and structure the work needed to support the systems and environments that enable the development of next generation electrical architecture at Volvo Bus. Creating roadmaps and aligning plans in different areas within Volvo Bus and within the entire Volvo Group. There is room for taking on additional responsibilities as well, depending on your own skills and personality.
Since Volvo Bus is a smaller company, we all work cross-functionally with broad responsibilities throughout the entire company, across many different departments and competence areas. This position will be no exception, coordinating yours and your teams’ work with the rest of the development teams here at Volvo Buses, will be important.

THIS PROBABLY DEFINES YOU
It is meritorious to have earlier experience from within the Volvo Group, working with TEA2+ and bridge plan development. You should have experience in leading and participating in teams and development networks, coordinating work across different competences to ensure that the end delivery is the best compromise. We think that you have a BSc or MSc degree in mechatronics/electrical/software engineering or equivalent. You are a strong communicator with great networking skills, you are solution focused, eager to learn new skills and driven by self-development.
Experience in coding and developing test environments, building test rigs and performing verification on automotive software is required.
