Job Description

As a Print Designer at Monki you are responsible for the print design collections and to secure current fashion and forwarding thinking ideas. You will lead the visionary print work for the collection towards set targets and strategies. Constantly follow & act on upcoming trends and identify new opportunities.
Your main responsibilities include:
Identify print ideas our customer will demand in the up-coming season
Set the visual goal for the department
Responsible for coordinating and creating the best print collection
Constantly research new trends, opportunities and developing print techniques
Responsible for creating and updating artworks, colorways and to ensure follow up on strike offs and handlooms
Constantly review the print direction and act on new tendencies and selling
Professional experience:
Knowledge with different print techniques & how to make technically print ready
Experience of creating all over repeat & placement prints/ typography prints or licensed prints
Excellent illustration drawing skills
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite programs
3D CLO work experience is meriting
Personal skills
A visionary & commercial mindset staying updated on current and future trends
Strong communication skills and flexible approach
A team player who brings diverse and global perspectives
Likes a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment with parallel tasks in an organized, structured manner
Fluent in English (Swedish is not necessary)

To be successful in this role we also see that you:
Have a minimum of a BA qualification in Fashion Textile/Print or Graphic Design or equivalent
Have a minimum of 2-3 year’s industry experience as a Print Designer
Combine a love of fashion and an understanding of retail and trends with a professional attitude and strong commercial focus
Able to inspire others and communicate your vision and print ideas
Are comfortable working with clear deadlines with a flexible mindset
